East China’s Jiangsu province and northwest China’s Shaanxi province have promoted exchanges and cooperation for fruitful achievements since the two provinces signed a strategic agreement in September last year on further strengthening poverty alleviation collaboration and economic cooperation through poverty reduction, labor export and economic and trade cooperation.
Construction on the day care center at a village in Tongchuan City, Shaanxi province has come to a close with the interior decoration going on smoothly.
The 6.8-million project facility will be put into operation to provide day care services for 2000 people each year.
The new and hi-tech development zone in Fuping County, Shaanxi province, has reached an agreement with Danyang city of Jiangsu province on the launch of investment projects in auto parts and components, logistics and some other industrial sectors. Two investment projects have been contracted to bring 160 million yuan of capital for the local economy.
In the meantime, Shaanxi has stepped up its efforts in recent years for industrial transfer and labor export to Jiangsu.
Renshou Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd in the economic development zone of Huai’an city, Jiangsu province, has developed from its collaboration with Shaanxi Zhaoxing Pharmaceutical Co Ltd. Early this year, the new factory was officially put into use. Relying on Zhaoxing’s technological prowess in capsules and the market resources, Renshou has been able to boost its sales volume from the previous 40 million yuan to 300 million yuan, growing nearly eight-fold from a year ago.
The district of Jintan in Changzhou city signed an agreement last month with Shaanxi Ankang Vocational and Technical College on the recruitment of some 300 technical talents from the college.
The all-round collaboration and cooperation between Jiangsu and Shaanxi are bearing fruits in a variety of ways.
51 counties or county level cities, district and development zones in Jiangsu have entered into partnership with 56 counties in Shaanxi for poverty alleviation assistance.
Shaanxi has breakthrough in the supply of electricity to Jiangsu with 830 million kilowatt hours transmitted between August and October.
