Lou Qinjian, secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, gave instructions on the promotion of the innovation and entrepreneurship campaign while making an inspection tour Thursday to some research institutes in Nanjing.
Lou demanded that research institutes should take the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress as the leading force to do a good job in science and technology, in particular through the implementation of the series of important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the scientific and technological work to grasp the trend and law of scientific and technological innovation with historical vision and global vision, to quicken the pace of scientific and technological innovation with systematic thinking and build up the core competitiveness of Jiangsu’s development in the new journey.
Lou visited the CAS Soil Research Institute and the Institute of Geology and Paleontology to learn about the goings-on of the institutes when touring the laboratory and specimen hall.
He hoped that through the reform and exploration of the system mechanism, the research institutes will give full play to the strong scientific research strength and talent advantage, fully release the enthusiasm and vigor of the science and technology workers ' entrepreneurship, turn more scientific research into realistic productivity and help to boost the innovation-oriented development of Jiangsu.
The CPC provincial secretary was also briefed on the status quo of the research institutes and institutions of higher learning, urging them to study and implement the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and bear in mind the important speeches made by Xi Jinping during his inspection tours in Jiangsu.
Lou reiterated that research institutes should promote the systematic construction of the scientific and technological innovation system to boost the integration of technology, industry and capital for the promotion of an open and co-sharing allocation and optimization of resources.
