The tall and towering metasequoias along the Taiping North Road is such a romance to many people. When you pass the crossing of Changjiang Road and turn north, you’d be fascinated with lines of metasequoias dotted with some pecans, gingkoes, and platans, especially around the area of Sipailou.
According to some statistics, metasequoias could effectively absorb sulfur dioxide and other harmful dust while offering people with fresher air. To getting closer to nature and beautiful view of the road, come join me in the morning jogging!

Recently, Nanjing municipal greening department has colorful flowers planted in the green belts along the road. Some working staff with Xuanwu District told reporter that different colored chrysanthemums have been planted recently with other bright colored Verbenas and prince’s feathers decorating the road.
Along Beijing East Road, the working staff divides the road into three parts. The part from Zhongshan North Road to Chengxianjie will be decorated into a sea of cedars; Chengxianjie to Taiping North Road will be ornamented into the world of sakuras; Taiping North Road to Longpan Middle Road will be built into an attraction of platans.
Most Romantic - Beijing West Road – Boulevard with Gingko Trees

Beijing West Road has Nanjing’s most beautiful Gingko trees. By this time of year, the gingko trees have already taken off their green shirts and put on golden sweaters. Yet the platanus trees nearby have remained to be partially green. The different colors indeed forge a marvelous painting done by mother nature.
Follow the road and you will meet the old campus of Nanjing University. Gingko trees inside the campus are of the same beauty as those on the streets. The platanus trees, Gingko trees, fallen leaves during sunset… everything just makes you want to linger on for some more.

If you ask what is the favorite road for arty young people in Nanjing, the answer would definitely be Yihe road.
The road is often dotted with sunlight through the planatus trees on both sides of the street. Meanwhile, the fallen leaves also make a golden carpet for the road. As a mansion area, it is extremely tranquil although it is surrounded by traffic.
The road has the perfect width for a stroll. When walking on the road, it feels like you were back in the old street of Republic of China. Someone even said that it would be a pure joy just sitting there, doing nothing.

People say that “One Changjiang road is half of Nanjing’s history”. Alongside Changjiang road, you have many historical sites from the Republic of China, including the Nanjing Presidential Palace and Pilu temple.
The most beautiful time of Changjiang road is at around dusk when the sky is dark and the lights are on. It has the seriousness of history on one side of the street and the modernity on the other side. Thus, it is highly recommended that you go to Changjiang road after work before you head home.
