The general office of the provincial government has issued a circular on the ten action plans for urban governance and services, setting forth specific targets concerning the improvement of urban traffic, parking, stinky river cleanup and classification of domestic waste. According to the circular, the ratio of urban parking to motor vehicle ownership will reach 1.2:1 to 1.5:1 in Jiangsu. All the domestic waste in the urban areas will be subjected to non-hazardous treatment. The ratio of fine air quality in the prefectural cities will reach 72%. According to the deployment, by 2020, the outstanding problems in urban governance and service in Jiangsu will be effectively solved.
