The city of Suqian has made unremitting efforts to lure the young people back to the hometown to launch their e-business startups amid the mass entrepreneurship campaign.
Dai Lei, who used to be working in other places after college graduation, returned to his hometown in Suqian to launch his e-commerce startup. Growing from a micro firm with several employees, he has developed his creative photo album business into a large company with 12 million square meters of workshops and 5 million yuan of annual sales.
Dai has attributed his success to the preferential policies from the local government.
The supportive policies have encouraged more young people to launch their business startups. In recent years, Suqian has unveiled supportive policies that include favorable conditions ranging from entrepreneurship training, venues, registration to loans, taxes and awards.
Since this year, authorities in Suqian have released subsidies for "purchase vouchers" to those who have returned home to found their businesses that have fixed places, normal operations and stable sales in a bid to encourage young people to make inroads into the e-commerce industry.
At present, the city has invested 8.37 billion yuan on the launch of 147 venture parks and 4770 startups which have in turn hired 250000 people.
Latest statistics show one out of 13 people in Suqian is now engaged in e-commerce and other related industries.
