Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, stressed the importance of studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress during his inspection tour in Huai’an city on November 2nd and 3rd.
Lou also demanded that regional governments in Jiangsu should thoroughly implement the important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Jiangsu.
Lou Qinjian inspected the Hongze Lake embankment to see the water quality and surrounding environments, demanding that local governments should strengthen the protection over the lake areas and improve the ecological environment through dredging and sand forming to focus on developing eco-tourism and other industries that can help the farmers improve their livelihood.
Lou had a tour of the rural dwellings in Jiangba town where he gave instructions on the rejuvenation of the rural areas through the development of cultural heritages to highlight the cultural symbols.
The CPC provincial chief also inspected the Chinese Water Transportation Museum and the canal cultural industry belt, emphasizing the importance of making scientific planning, paying attention to cultural inheritance to bring into full play the cultural charm of the Grand Canal in the new era.
Lou Qinjian also visited several villages to learn about the efforts and progress of poverty alleviation and the impact on the improvement of people’s livelihood.
He concluded his inspection tour by summoning the party and government officials at the municipal level for a working conference where he once again emphasized the urgency and importance of studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
