A police officer from Chuandonggang police station found a wild elk trapped in a water channel in Jianfeng Farm of Yancheng city, Jiangsu province.
The wild elk was knee-deep in water and was shaking from the cold. The water channel was about 2 meters high, and the water level was about half a meter deep. Water was cold and the channel wall was smooth, so the elk was unable to climb up.
The police officer immediately contacted the Elk Nature Reserve to discuss the rescue method. They decided to use a rope to wrap the elk and then they pulled the animal up. Thanks to everyone working together, the wild elk was finally rescued.
