Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, went on an inspection tour Tuesday to the provincial committee for discipline inspection and the provincial people’s congress, the top legislature of the province.

During his inspection tour, Lou emphasized the importance of studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, adding that it is a matter of top priority for party organizations and officials across the province.

In his first leg of the tour, Lou visited the provincial committee for discipline inspection where he was briefed on the information system, the case management system and the transparent monitoring of the poverty alleviation program.

The discipline inspection and supervision authorities should view it a matter of top priority and a primary political task to implement the requirements on party building set forth by the 19th CPC National Congress in a bid to help the party exercise strict self-governance in every respect, Lou said.

During his visit to the provincial people’s congress, the CPC provincial chief was briefed on the current work of the legislature and watched the on-site demonstration of the integrated query system for budget network supervision.

Lou demanded that the provincial legislature should thoroughly implement the requirements set forth by the 19th CPC National Congress on the promotion of socialist democracy and boost the overall development of the legislative work in the province.

Lou Qinjian, who was formerly secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee, was appointed Monday as the Party chief of east China's Jiangsu Province, replacing Li Qiang, who has been appointed as the secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, according to a decision of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
