In the past two years, Jiangsu has tapped into a series of land resources policies to come up with policy integration effect, laying a resource base for the poverty alleviation campaign throughout the province.
In order to increase the support for the impoverished areas, Jiangsu has given priority to the industrial projects in the annual large provincial industrial projects and the site selection of the support projects funded by the provincial fiscal budget.
The province has also given special quotas on the increase of urban construction land and reduction of rural construction land for 12 counties or districts and the Huangqiao and Maoshan former revolutionary bases to support the implementation of poverty-alleviation projects. 22400 mu of land use quotas have been earmarked for the underdeveloped regions since early last year.
In the meantime, special transaction of requisition-compensation balance for the underdeveloped regions have been organized with more than 20000 mu transacted to raise 5.91 billion yuan of fund in total. The money raised has been allocated for the economic and social development projects and poverty alleviation projects in the impoverished areas.
The policy bonus has reached out to all the poor areas and old revolutionary bases throughout the province with 4377 mu transacted in the first stage of the project which totals 3.39 billion yuan.
