Chen Zhengning, vice governor of Jiangsu, met on Saturday in Nanjing with Mr. Kishore, Principal Secretary of the Industry, Commerce and Enterprises ofWest Bengal State, India. The vice governor noted that China and India are the two largest developing countries in the world and West Bengal State shares much in common with Jiangsu province. He hoped that both sides would strengthen high-level exchanges, expand the two-way communication between government departments and all sectors, and establish a long-term and stable cooperative exchange mechanism.Mr. Kishore said that as the business center of eastern and northeastern Indian, West Bengal hopes to join hands with Jiangsu to strengthen the cooperation in the chemical industry, port logistics and other fields.
