A Japanese youth delegation paid a visit to Nanjing on Saturday. At 10 o'clock Saturday morning, the winners of the 2017 Panda Cup Essay Contest for Japanese Youth paid a visit to the memorial hall of the victims in the Nanjing Massacre by theJapanese Invaders. theylaid a wreath and paid a tribute of silence before entering the memorial hall where the exhibitionCommon Witness Nanjing 1937 is held. The Japanese youth were impressed by the photos and cultural relics that shed light on Japan’s wartime atrocities during the Japanese invasion of china and the Nanjing Massacre in World War II. The Panda Cup Essay Contest for Japanese Youth is launched by concerned departments in China and Japan with a view to promoting the Japanese young people’s perception and understanding of china. One of the students said she has visited China on many occasions but this is the first time she is in Nanjing.
