The final of the fourth annual session of the 2017 Purple Gold Award Architectural and Environmental Design Competition will be held in Nanjing on October 12. Jointly sponsored by the Provincial Department of Publicity and provincial department of housing and urban-rural development, the contest is set in the theme of pastoral rural scenes to canvass a number of outstanding works through competitions in a bid to come up with a group of rural examples with regional characteristics to carry forward pastoral nostalgia, inherit the local culture, reflect the modern civilization, and promote rural development and rejuvenation.
