The construction of an eco-friendly economic zone is dependent on the right types of industries to be developed rather than giving up industrial development, said Li Qiang, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee during his inspection tour in Huai’an city last Friday.
The Jianghuai Ecological Economic Zone is less reliant on industrial development compared with the southern part of the province but promises huge potentials for the development of green industries due to the relatively high combination of natural ecological condition and economic development level.
The city of Suqian, for example, has seized the opportunities to boost the development of e-commerce and the city of Huai’an has strived for the development of new energy industry to seek transformation and upgrading.
In the meantime, the Jianghuai Ecological Economic Zone has given full play to its advantages in agricultural resources by recruiting high-end talents and cultivation high-end brands.
The development of the modern agriculture has also boosted the in-depth growth of leisure tourism and agritourism.
