Global Trade in Services Summit was hosted in Jinling Hotel, Nanjing this morning. As a sub-event of Global Service Trade Conference 2017, this summit greeted some 300 representatives and guests, expected to further the discussion on the promotion and development of provincial brand culture of Jiangsu.
Organized by Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, this summit greeted Da Jiaxiang, deputy head of Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province; Wu Xiuliang, deputy secretary-general of Nanjing Municipal government; and Ren Tong, Vice President of Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation. Representatives from Phoenix Publishing & Media, INC; and other foreign media groups and Nanjing local enterprises were also in attendance, making this summit a great event for trade and promotion.
The summit first witnessed the signing of cultural and service trade contracts, including the agreement on co-producing the second season of documentary Nanjing Massacre in the Eyes of Western Witnesses between Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation and A+E Networks Asia. And Jiangsu Original Force Animation also agreed to work with Beijing Sky Film, Ltd. on the production of Four Dimitrios Monkeys, a story that was derived from Journey to the West.
Representatives from media organizations of Jiangsu and abroad also made keynote speeches on their experience in expanding cultural trade.
The latter half of the summit was hosted by the chairman of Asian Television Awards Raymond Wong with guests from Australian Broadcasting Corporation, PCCW Media, Fox Networks, Viacom, and Sesame Workshop. They had a dialogue about “Outbound of Culture, Win-win of Cooperation”.
The summit was divided into forums and exhibitions, which were held at the same time. It has attracted 18 cultural enterprises from Jiangsu and abroad to exhibit.
