Schools in Jiangsu province has carried out theme activities for the children to usher in the new semester through orientation classes.
In their first orientation class, the first graders at the Jinkou District Experimental Primary School were taught to distinguish the signs for men’s toilet and women’s toilet.
The children went on to learn the basic rules for queuing up and observing the in-class disciplines.
It will not be easy for the first graders to be attentive through a class session of 40 minutes, some teachers said.
In the meantime, the 10th graders of the No. 1 Middle School of Yancheng city have started their military training under the instructions of the sergeants. Military training is a threshold course for the senior high school students.
