The Price Bureau of Nanjing City released service prices of contracted family doctors on Aug 24, which are set to be implemented from Sept 1, and will have basic or personalized family doctors’ service packages for residents.
The unified price adopted for the basic service package covers 12 items of basic public health services, as well as five basic medical services of general medical diagnosis and treatment, blood sugar testing, blood pressure measurement, health consultation and guidance, and liver and kidney function testing. It also includes five items of comprehensive health services, such as making an appointment to see a doctor, and making reservations for medical check-ups and hospitalization.
The annual price for the basic service package is 90 yuan ($13) per person, among which 75 yuan ($11) will be covered by the basic public health fund.
Prices of the personalized service package, offering additional relevant basic medical services and comprehensive health services, will be determined according to the situation in various districts of Nanjing, along with the requirements of residents. This will then be determined after the items in the basic service package are excluded.
