East China’s Jiangsu province has given a strong boost to comprehensive work safety inspection since the beginning of the summer to drastically improve work safety across the province.
The work safety inspection is part of the 100-day summer work safety enforcement with the focus laid on road transportation, construction, hazardous chemicals and 17 other industrial sectors.
The law enforcement is carried out through a combination of public investigation and private inquiry, random sampling, inspection and enforcement.
Up to now, the province's production safety inspection has been enforced on a total of nearly 48,000 types of production and operation units with 1611 potent risks eliminated, 2012 serious illegal acts combated, 76 enterprises closed and banned, 353 enterprises suspended production and 229 million yuan fined.
