Li Qiang, chief of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, made an inspection tour in Jiangyin Thursday on the pilot project of integrated reform, adding that the integrated reform is of significant role in the overall reform at the county level.
Li Qiang was briefed by the city’s government administrative office on the plans of the pilot project of integrated reform in Jiangyin and the specific progress that has been made in Zhouzhuang town.
During the discussions, Li remarked that the economic and social development at the county level is both the last kilometer of the implementation of the reform and the first kilometer in the exploration of the reform pace.
He hoped that Jiangyin will make overall breakthroughs to give a strong impetus to the comprehensive reform and set an example for the province.
The CPC chief also visited Xinqiao town, Sunshine Group and Heilan Group to learn about the progress of the integrated reform.
Li Qiang made a detailed understanding of the town planning and construction, stressing the need to focus on long-term urban construction planning, and highlighting the advantages of industrial development with regional characteristics.
He chatted with the residents who were walking leisurely in the public square to learn about their income and daily life before soliciting opinions on the optimization of government services.
In the Sunshine Group's exhibition hall and intelligent shirt manufacturing workshop, Li Qiang spoke highly of the development and enhanced global presence of the textile and apparel sector, hoping that they will carry forward the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation with strengthened efforts to boost the transformation and upgrading of the traditional sectors for greater development.
Li Qiang also investigated Heilan’s intelligent inventory, sales outlets and distinctive cultural tourism projects, encouraging the enterprise to make further development through their business philosophy and the innovation of their business models to spearhead the industrial growth in the province.
