The provincial department of environmental protection released on Tuesday the green development index system and the assessment target system for ecological civilization construction. The two systems will serve as the basis and support for the annual evaluation and once-in-five-year assessment on the progress of ecological civilization promotion. The evaluation index of the two systems covers the main work of the province's ecological civilization construction. The green development index system will serve as the guide on the monitoring of the progress of ecological civilization construction by covering resource utilization, environmental management, environmental quality, ecological protection, growth quality, green life and public satisfaction. The assessment target system includes 24 indices with 70% of them targeting the assessment of constraint resources and environment at the regional levels.
