Thee provincial department of public security, the provincial department of housing and urban-rural development and the provincial industry and commerce bureau has issued a notice on strengthening the management of rental housing to eliminate safety hazards. The landlord should ensure that when renting houses the per capita rental construction area shall not be lower than the minimum standards set by the local government. Kitchen, bathroom, balcony and underground storage room shall not be rented to the tenants. Within 30 days after the lease contract is made, the landlord shall go to the construction or real estate department where the leased premises are located for the registration of the house leasing.
