Jiangsu Haibao Ice Engineering Development Co Ltd in Yangzhou and Dubai Development signed as partners to build "Dubai Snow Park" on August 1.
Shao Guoliang, the chairman of Haibao and project contractor, said the project will cover an area of more than 5,000 square meters and will have seven theme areas. The whole park, located in Dubai Garden Glow, is expected to open in mid-September.
Shao said it took six months to strike the deal. After examining two ice sculpture projects of Haibao in Guangdong, Dubai decided to sign the agreement with Haibao.
What makes this project different from the domestic ice sculptures is that the ice sculptures in Dubai will use seawater. During the construction phase, the team will face high temperature reaching more than 45℃, dust storms and other adverse weather effects.
