Joergen is the first Dane to come to China for pig farming. In the year of 2011, he was sent by "Nordic Farm" to Guanyun of Jiangsu’s Lianyungang city to manage the construction and operation of a pig farm project.

Joergen was the production manager of Denmark's largest aquaculture company and he has over 20 years of experience in farm management. In less than two years, Joergen made the production level of the Guanyun farm reach the average level of Danish pig farms.
The farm is the only one in China that is included in the Danish pig breeding program DanAvl with an annual production of 23,000 boars and 135,000 pigs.

Joergen strictly follows the environmental standards of Denmark even here in China. He invested 5.5 million yuan on device construction so that manure, through environmental-friendly processing, can provide heat for the farm, administrative office area while also providing organic fertilizer for the surrounding farmlands.

As the connection between China and Denmark's pig farming industry, Joergen not only introduces Denmark's advanced technology into China, but also actively promotes China to Denmark. Joergen serves as a member of the Pig Farming Council of China Animal Husbandry Association. At each association meeting, he will unreservedly exchange his experience and technology. Each year, he would invite Danish shareholders and agriculture experts to Guanyun for visit and inspection. He has built a bridge for Jiangsu to attract foreign investment.
