The 2017 China Guanyun Doudan Food Festival kicked off on July 15. Various activities have attracted several people and tourists.
A couple from Denmark with their five children visited on the second day of the food festival and spoke highly of local dishes made of doudan, larvae of Clanis bilineat.
Combining Huaiyang and Qilu cuisines, Guanyun develops a unique cuisine with local characteristics. Guanyun doudan is a typical example of local delicacies.
The Danish family was very interested in how doudan is cooked. The children even held the larvae on their hands to observe.
