East China’s Jiangsu province will step up its efforts to improve the livelihood projects through the promotion of 52 livelihood projects in 15 categories such as building more parking lots in the urban areas of Nanjing.
The underground parking lot of Nanjing Xuanwu Foreign Language School is under construction, and equipped with self-propelled parking bays and automatic parking facilities.
This parking lot provides a total of 407 parking bays on the three underground floors. According to the Nanjing Transportation Bureau, 5,000 public parking bays will be built in the main urban area of Nanjing this year.

In order to better use and manage parking spaces, Nanjing has also established a "smart parking management platform".
The data center of Nanjing Smart Parking Management Platform can grasp the real-time usage of more than 50 thousand temporary road parking spaces and 346 parking spaces in the city through computer screens, and further improve the utilization rate of parking spaces through intelligent analysis.
The data center can intelligently display and analyze Nanjing’s parking hotspots, parking space turnover rate, tidal parking index, etc., and provide data references for relevant departments to plan rationally, increase and decrease parking spaces, and facilitate car owners to find parking spaces, reserve parking spaces, and make reservations and shared parking through apps on smart phones.

In the meantime, the Nanjing Urban Management Bureau is also re-planning the internal roads and greening of the community by marking off temporary parking spaces on the roads around the communities, and using some idle land to open offices and parking lots. At present, Nanjing has selected 103 communities as pilot projects by providing 24,782 parking bays.
