SIP Enterprise Development Service Center (SIP-EDSC) recently launched a service to host 48 events from May 15 to July 31 to lend eligible enterprises in SIP a hand in their application for inclusion in the National High-Tech Enterprises (NHTE) program.
It is learnt that the Chinese government launched the NHTE program in the 1990s in a move to promote rapid development of high-tech enterprises. Enterprises identified as “NHTEs” can enjoy tax breaks and other preferential policies during their business operation.
The events are scheduled at eight different places across SIP. Each time, SIP-EDSC staffers conduct preliminary review of the NHTE candidates’ application documents and offer one-on-one consultancy based on the candidates’ specific conditions. It is learnt that 13 of the events have been held so far, benefiting over 300 enterprises.
