East China’s Jiangsu province has launched a province-wide publicity campaign on work safety to publicize General Secretary’s important instruction on work safety. Fan Jinlong, member of the standing committee of the CPC Provincial Committee and executive vice governor, delivered a speech on work safety when going on an inspection tour in Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park recently.
Fan stressed the importance of General Secretary’s important instruction on work safety when addressing the publicity meeting.
He said the observance of the national work safety month is of special significance to Jiangsu as the province is stepping up its efforts for work safety regulation.
Jiangsu has made headway in the special program to address work safety hazard in the past month under the supervision of the State Council’s inspection team, he said.
Fan Jinlong noted that the observance of the national work safety month should be carried out by publicizing General Secretary’s important instruction on work safety at the grassroots level so that the latent safety hazards at small chemical plants will be dealt with effectively.
He demanded more efforts to enhance political stance, shoulder up the responsibility and promote work safety month by following General Secretary’s important exposition on work safety so as to leave no areas uncovered.
Violations of work safety must be investigated and dealt with, Fan Jinlong said, adding that it is important for corporate leaders to enhance regulation, sum up experiences and strengthen mechanism innovation so as to bolster the modernization of work safety governance.
He also called for the improvement of intrinsic safety level and uphold the bottom line and lifeline of safety-oriented development as work safety is a matter of great concern to people’s life and property.
