The half-way end point will be adjusted from 500 meters west of the main gate of Qinglv Garden of Xuanwu Lake to 150 meters east of the main gate of Qinglv Garden. The locker area at the half-way terminal has been adjusted from the National Exhibition Center to Qinglv Garden.
To ensure the safety of the event, Nanjing police will conduct a security drill at 7:30-9:00 am this Saturday, Oct. 27, to test security measures. On the day of the official match, the police force will be mobilized and more than 8,500 officers will be deployed along the starting point, the finish line and the track to take on the task of security and traffic control. On the day of the drill and the official competition, the roads along the track will all be under control, and resume the normal traffic after the passage of the participants.
To reduce the impact of control work on citizens' travels, the Nanjing police have carefully worked out a detour route, making sure of the smooth traffic along several artery lines including Chengdong Avenue, Yingtian Avenue, and airport highway, etc. At the same time, there are seven key points along the track for vehicles to access that the traffic police have also made a corresponding detour, which include Saihongqiao overpass, xi ' an men tunnel, jiuhuashan tunnel, gupinggang interchange, jiangdong bei road caochangmen street ground junction, jiangdong north road shuimen street ground junction and yingtian street flyover.
In order to ensure the safety of this major event, Nanjing police warned that on the day of the Nanjing Marathon, drones will be banned at either the starting point, the finish point or along the race track. Once discovered, the police will immediately investigate and deal with the issue and ask for the cooperation.
