East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to ensure a flying start in the new year.
On Wednesday morning, at the construction site of the second phase of Yangzijin Road West Extension in Yangzhou, the top pushing operation of the steel box girder of the Runyang River Bridge began. 24 walking machines were operated synchronously, pushing the 800-ton northern steel box girder to move slowly from east to west.
“We push for about 8 hours a day, with a daily travel distance of about 14 to 15 meters. We control the height and walking speed of the steel box girder to ensure that the travel and speed heights of all walking machines are consistent,” said Guo Yilong, Project Manager of Runyang River Bridge Construction Section of China Railway 24th Bureau.
In the Changzhou section of the Yangtze River, more than 400 workers are busy with the construction of the Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge. During the steel beam lifting process, technicians need to pay real-time attention to the intelligent platform, and timely feed back the key data parameters of the lifting equipment and steel beams to the crane driver to ensure that the thousands of tons of large section steel beams are stably and accurately erected in place.
The main channel bridge of Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge requires the installation of 45 large section steel beams. Since last year, 32 large section steel beams have been erected.
