East China’s Jiangsu province was thrust to the spotlight at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change or COP 28 that opened on November 30th in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
At COP28 United Nations climate change conference in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, Jiangsu released its achievements in green and low-carbon development in recent years, organized a group of leading enterprises to showcase new energy, energy storage and other equipment and models, and share low-carbon technology experience. At the same time, Jiangsu further deepened its exchanges with its sister cities and states by holding roundtable events and other activities.
“I think this kind of cultural exchange as a theme carrier is relatively good, so we feel that we have made initial attempts and gained more than expected results. In the future, we will explore better, more lively, more international, and more friendly ways of communication,” said Wang Hua, Director of Climate Change Response Department of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment.
In the next step, Jiangsu will face the international community, expand cooperation areas, innovate design cooperation projects, share policies, successful experiences, and practical cases of adapting to climate change, and jointly improve the governance level of addressing climate change.
