The Nanjing metropolitan area will step up integrated development and build a regional development community, according to a meeting held in Ma’anshan city of Anhui province on Saturday. Han Liming, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, addressed the meeting. Let’s take a close look.
According to Han Liming's five suggestions for further deepening integrated development and building a regional development community, Nanjing will take on the role of enhancing development momentum by taking the lead in exploring the improvement of the integrated development system and mechanism, making precise efforts in promoting smooth internal and external circulation, deepening linkage in promoting green development, and jointly building and sharing public services.
In the first three quarters of this year, the Nanjing metropolitan area recorded a regional GDP of 3.76 trillion yuan, accounting for 4.1% of the national total, and contributed to the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration.
The cities participating the meeting signed cooperation agreements on varied issues such as the construction of social credit systems in urban agglomerations, high-quality development of high-tech parks, industrial chain alliances, joint prevention and control of air pollution from coal-fired power plants, and scientific and technological innovation financial alliances.
