The 11th International Conference on Robot Intelligence Technology and Applications (RiTA 2023) was held at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) recently. Themed "Robotics and AI for Digital Futures," the conference was attended by over 100 scholars, experts and students from China, Germany, South Korea, and Malaysia both online and offline.

Co-organized by Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), University of Liverpool, and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), RiTA 2023 is designed to provide a platform for scholars, researchers and experts in the field of intelligent robotics to exchange ideas, share latest research findings, and promote coordinated development between academia and the industry in the application of robot intelligence technology.

"The accelerated digitalized and intelligent transformation has reshaped the way we work, learn and communicate. We take this opportunity to explore with experts, scholars and students how robotics and AI technologies can further popularize digitalized and intelligent experiences," said Prof. Eng Hwa Yap, Dean of the School of Robotics and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Ecosystem at XJTLU. The conference has included over 60 papers from at least 20 academic institutions worldwide.

"RiTA focuses on robot intelligence while also tapping into the research of robotic systems, making the conference very unique," explained Prof. Han-Lim Choi from KAIST, who also revealed that the next edition of RiTA is to be held in South Korea.
