Xu Kunlin welcomed Frank O'Flynn's visit to Jiangsu. Xu Kunlin said that Jiangsu and Cork County are friendly province and county, with close exchanges and fruitful cooperation in recent years. Next year will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ireland, and the friendly exchanges between Jiangsu and Cork County will also move towards the next decade.
He said Jiangsu is willing to take this opportunity to deepen practical cooperation in various fields with Cork County, further strengthen exchanges in biopharmaceuticals, digital economy, green energy, and green industries, promote urban construction governance and mutual learning of experiences, and interact with the cultural and tourism markets.
Jiangsu also hopes to cultivate more friendly ambassadors through the "Clover Cup" and "Plum Blossom Cup" speech competition, enhance mutual understanding, promote people to people communication, and make positive contributions to the development of the mutually beneficial strategic partnership between the two countries.
Frank O'Flynn stated that this year marks the 10th anniversary of friendly exchanges between Cork County and Jiangsu, which is a milestone in the history of the relationship between the two regions.
