People in east China’s Jiangsu province were attracted to the outdoors to enjoy the great sunshine during the weekend.
The 2023 Zhangjiagang Dongdu Half Marathon started on Sunday, attracting more than 12000 marathon enthusiasts. The competition that includes half marathon, fitness run, and parent-child run, passed through Shazhou Lake Science and Technology Innovation Park, Yigan River Ecological Corridor, and some other places.
After intense competition, the men's group championship of the half marathon event was won by Suzhou athlete Sun Mingtao. The women's group championship went to Song Jinting from Nanjing.
In Changzhou, Yancheng Spring and Autumn Park has recently launched the first giant rope net tribe in Changzhou, attracting many families to enjoy parent-child time.
This project integrated ancient city culture with amusement projects, introducing unpowered amusement equipment such as "rope net slide", "Youyou Island", "three-dimensional climbing", "rainbow maze", and "fancy swing", allowing children to enjoy themselves inside.
“This game is quite good, and it also allows children to experience the culture of the Spring and Autumn period, which helps them understand history and culture,” said a resident of Changzhou.
In the Nanshan Scenic Area of Zhenjiang, four 300-year-old ginkgo trees attracted many tourists from near and afar.
In an orchard in Xinzhuang Town of Suqian city, volunteers led left behind children to pick autumn pears.
“It enhances the experience of picking with one's own hands, as well as the joy of a bountiful harvest. It feels quite delicious,” said a student in Suqian City.
