Recently, Huai’an has initiated the “Hundred-Day Campaign” aimed at enhancing air quality during the autumn and winter seasons.
Firstly, efforts will be made to strengthen source control. Measures include implementing stricter dust control at port terminals, enhancing VOCs control in chemical enterprises, expediting the environmentally friendly renovation project of Huaigang Special Steel, eliminating diesel trucks that do not meet or exceed national III emission standards, and implementing a “48 hours + 12 days” treatment plan for air quality monitoring stations that fail to meet the standards.
Secondly, there will be a focus on supervising law enforcement. This will involve improving the closed-loop working mechanism, which incorporates forecasting, analysis, commanding, supervision, evaluation, and updating. Additionally, there will be intensified supervision of industrial enterprises, construction sites, straw incineration, and major pollution factors during key periods, industries, and areas. Nighttime inspections and special law enforcement checks will be sustained to crackdown on environmental violations such as excessive emissions and unauthorized discharges in accordance with the law.
