East China’s Jiangsu province recorded a port cargo throughput of 2.56 billion tons in the first three quarters, latest statistics show.

“From January to September, we recorded a year-on-year growth of 60% in roll on roll, and this year we have achieved unprecedented development and reached a new historical high in roll on roll,” said Sun Dong, Manager of the Ro/Ro Department of Lianyungang Port Group.
Relying on the double growth of the output value of the port petrochemical industry, the Xuwei Port Area of Lianyungang recorded a cargo throughput of 35.26 million tons in the first three quarters, achieving a double growth. The liquid bulk cargo throughput reached 22.28 million tons, highlighting the advantages of an industry-driven comprehensive port.
