East China’s Jiangsu province has started the pilot work on the evaluation and appointment of corporate chief technicians, according to a document released by the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
The pilot work for the evaluation and appointment of chief technicians will be carried out among top enterprises in the province. In principle, the enterprises included in the pilot will include 16 national and provincial advanced manufacturing cluster related enterprises, with a large number of senior technicians in industrial enterprises above the designated scale.
The highly skilled talents who apply for the position of chief technician must be excellent and skilled leading talents who are engaged in technical skills work on the production and research and development front line of the enterprise and possess corresponding conditions. After obtaining the title of special level technician, senior technician, or senior professional title for a certain period of time, they should continue to be engaged in corresponding technical skills work.
Applicants hired to the position of Chief Technician can enjoy the salary and allowances enjoyed by personnel with senior professional titles. At the same time, enterprises are encouraged to recruit Chief Technician to participate in scientific research and major project bidding and technical evaluation.
