Principals from the Hong Kong education community visited Jiangsu and held a symposium Thursday in Nanjing on Jiangsu-Hong Kong Friendship School Exchange.
At the symposium, the principals from Hong Kong exchanged ideas with well-known school principals in Jiangsu to jointly draw a new blueprint for education cooperation between Jiangsu and Hong Kong.
The education departments of Jiangsu and Hong Kong have stated that, based on the current establishment of over 2000 sister schools, the two sides will expand cooperation content, innovate cooperation forms, and pragmatically promote the implementation and effectiveness of education cooperation projects between Jiangsu, Hong Kong, and Macao in the future.
"I see that the education development in Nanjing is much faster than we imagined, so I hope to have the opportunity to take students and teachers to visit different places in the mainland, especially to communicate with young people", said Dean Chan, Principal of Hong Kong Ying Wah College.
"More importantly, these study tour activities and educational practices in technological innovation, attach great importance to the cultivation of patriotism among students. On the other hand, we also particularly hope that middle school students in Jiangsu can approach high schools in Hong Kong and carry out such study tour visits", Zhu Zheng, Principal of Nanjing Zhonghua Middle School, said.
In July, Jiangsu, Hong Kong and Macao initiated the establishment of the Jiangsu-Hong Kong-Macao Basic Education Cooperation Alliance. The alliance will organize teachers and students from Hong Kong and Macao to visit Jiangsu from November to December, and principals from Hong Kong and Macao will come to Jiangsu for study tours classic recitation and alliance exchange result shows.
