An on-site experience exchange meeting on promoting high-quality grain projects and accelerating the high-quality development of the grain industry nationwide was held in Yancheng on Tuesday. Liu Huanxin, a member of the Party Group of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Secretary and Director of the Party Group of the State Grain and Materials Reserve Bureau, attended the meeting. Hui Jianlin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech.
Leading officials from the National Grain and Material Reserve Bureau, grain management departments in various provinces and cities, and national backbone grain enterprises observed the experiences and practices of Sheyang County and Funing County in promoting high-quality grain projects.
On Wednesday, an on-site experience exchange meeting was held, and the heads of grain and material reserves departments in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Jilin, Hubei, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang introduced their experiences and practices in implementing high-quality grain projects.
Hui Jianlin said that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Jiangsu has resolutely implemented the Party Central Committee's decision and deployment to ensure national food security, and has always regarded ensuring the effective supply of grain and important agricultural products as the primary task of promoting agricultural and rural modernization.
Since the implementation of the high-quality grain project in 2017, Jiangsu has vigorously promoted the "six major improvement actions" of green grain storage and variety quality brands, achieving significant results in promoting the improvement of grain industry quality and efficiency, and meeting the upgrading needs of people's consumption.
