The rail transit route connecting Wuxi and Jiangyin, a county-level city in Wuxi, started a three-month trial operation on Oct 7, local media reported.

The Wuxi-Jiangyin metro line is the first of its kind in Wuxi to operate between cities. Spanning 30.4 kilometers, the newly-launched metro line is built with 10 stations and will connect Wuxi's subway line 1 at Nanquan Station.
