Xu Kunlin welcomed Magnus Hoynik's visit to Jiangsu. He said that in recent years, under the scientific guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, Jiangsu has achieved a historic transformation in ecological environment with the quality of the ecological environment reaching the best level since the new century.
Focusing on the "dual carbon" goal, Jiangsu has vigorously promoted the green and low-carbon transformation of its industry, and actively accelerating the construction of a clean and low-carbon energy system, making it one of the first pilot areas for green electricity trading in China.
The governor remarked that Jiangsu and Denmark have enjoyed a long history of exchange and cooperation, and have achieved fruitful results in cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, science and technology, health, agriculture, low-carbon environmental protection.
Noting that this year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Denmark, Xu Kunlin said Jiangsu is willing to join hands with Denmark to further strengthen exchanges, continuously deepen practical cooperation in ecological protection, green development, and other fields within the framework of the "China Denmark Green Joint Work Plan", explore and form more paths and methods for ecological environment governance, comprehensively promote green and low-carbon economic and social development, and make positive contributions to promoting sustainable human development and jointly building a community of life on Earth.
Jiangsu welcomes more high-quality Danish enterprises to invest and develop in Jiangsu by giving full play to the advantages in green technology, fully utilizing rich application scenarios, and helping Jiangsu accelerate the green transformation of its development mode to achieve high-level mutual benefit and win-win situation.
Magnus Hoynik said that Denmark and Jiangsu have conducted fruitful cooperation in areas such as water resource management and environmental protection. Denmark is willing to continue working together with Jiangsu to deepen all-round and multi-level cooperation, actively respond to global environmental and climate challenges, and promote green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality economic development through high-level ecological environmental protection.
