East China’s Jiangsu province has promoted the overall improvement of economic operation and high-quality development since the beginning of this year by working hard to promote the sustained recovery and improvement of the province's economy so as to make contributions to the overall development of the country.
In a 500000-ton dock of the production area of Jiangsu New Era Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., two LNG dual fuel bulk carrier and two container ships were being built at the same time.
Since the beginning of this year, Taizhou's shipbuilding industry has been continuously transitioning towards high-end and green development by strengthening key and core technology research.
In the first half of the year, Taizhou recorded a year-on-year increase of over 20% in shipbuilding completion and the volume of orders being fulfilled, accounting for about 1/4 of the national total and 1/10 of the global total, further demonstrating the resilience and competitiveness of the industrial chain.
“In the first half of this year, our company has delivered 17 ships, including 8 LNG dual fuel ships. As of now, we are fulfilling the order for 43 LNG dual fuel ships with the production task scheduled for 2027”, said Du Haiming, Assistant Director of Marketing Department of Jiangsu New Era Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
“We have given full play to the role of the ‘circle of friends’ in the industrial chain by helping enterprises expand their markets and orders, strengthening the monitoring, analysis, and factor guarantee of key enterprises and major growth points in key industries, and assisting the stable operation of the industrial economy”, Wu Anyuan, Director of Operation Monitoring and Coordination Office, Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said.
At the beginning of the year, Jiangsu introduced 42 policy measures to promote the overall improvement of economic operation and boost market confidence. A series of policy measures have been implemented one after another, from assisting enterprises in poverty alleviation, optimizing the business environment, to promoting major projects, and supporting technological innovation.
In the first half of the year, Jiangsu recorded a year-on-year increase of 8.3% in the added value of industries above designated size, especially the rapid development of high-tech industries and strategic emerging industries, which has added confidence to the province’s efforts to accelerate the construction of industrial technology innovation highlands.
At the same time, Jiangsu prioritized promoting economic development through consumption growth. Over the past six months, various consumption promotion activities have been held, with first stores, small stores, and new consumption scenarios constantly emerging, promoting strong growth in domestic demand.
In this first 24-hour sports neighborhood in Nanjing, there are basketball court, football court, characteristic restaurants and coffee houses everywhere. After opening for more than two months, the neighborhood has continued to boost in popularity, as is evidenced by its revenue of 7.5 million yuan.
In the first half of the year, Jiangsu recorded an economic growth rate of six trillion yuan, 1.1 percentage points higher than the national average at a growth rate of 6.6%, maintaining a good momentum of high-quality development.
In the first half of the year, Jiangsu recorded a year-on-year growth of 10% in the total retail sales of consumer goods, 5.5% in fixed assets investment, 6.3% in the added value of the service industry, 5.6% in the per capita disposable income, and a year-on-year growth of 6.6% in the gross domestic product that reached 6046.53 billion yuan.
