The city of Zhenjiang in East China’s Jiangsu province is making every effort to create as many jobs as possible for the fresh college graduates in a variety of ways. Let’s take a close look.

Over the past days, leaders from over a hundred universities across the country visited Zhenjiang to investigate employment projects. Schools, governments, and enterprises conducted face-to-face communication to accurately match demand and promote employment cooperation.

The talent departments of the eight cities along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu joined hands to recruit talents by introducing to universities their respective talent needs and policy packages and releasing more than 30000 job vacancies from 1800 enterprises in a bid to promote higher quality and fuller employment.

“We have closely adhered to the talent demand of the industry chain and carry out team and targeted recruitment and talent introduction around universities with disciplinary advantages. We have established talent introduction cooperation mechanisms with more than 100 universities, established 292 enterprise talent workstations, and opened up channels for talent cooperation between schools, local enterprises, and enterprises”, Ai Xiaohui, Director of Zhenjiang Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, said.

In recent years, the eight cities along the Yangtze River have established regional exchange and cooperation mechanisms, given full play to their resource advantages, and formed collaborative groups to attract talents.

“These cities are all cities with active economic development and highly concentrated talent and intelligence in Jiangsu. Through this event, we have further understood the talent policies, industrial characteristics, and cultural environment of the eight cities along the Yangtze River. We will pass on this information to our graduates as soon as possible, promoting the common development of graduates and these cities”, Li Weihong, Deputy Director of Student Career Development and Employment Guidance Center of Chongqing University, said.
