East China’s Jiangsu province reported bustling tourism during the Labor Day holiday that lasted for five days from April 29 to May 3.

On Wednesday, tourists flocked to the Six Dynasties Museum in Nanjing, although it was raining. During the Labor Day holiday, the museum attracted more than 10 thousand tourists every day through interactive activities such as intangible cultural heritage classrooms, markets, and lecture halls.

During the holiday, Nanjing attracted tourists from all over the country with its rich array of historical heritages with major scenic spots turned into popular destinations. According to statistics, from April 29th to May 1st, the Nanjing Confucius Temple Qinhuai Scenic Area and Nanjing Zhongshan Scenic Area ranked second and third in terms of tourist volume among national scenic spots.

“The exhibition hall provides tourists with a visit, and also more experiences that have increased interactivity and fun. During the May Day holiday, there has been a significant increase in tourists compared to last year, five or six times more than non-holiday periods,” said Gu Zichun, Education Commissioner of the Public Service Department of the Six Dynasties Museum.

“I feel very good. There are many tourists, but everything is in order. Nanjing is truly an ancient capital with a rich cultural heritage,” said a tourist.

Various cultural venues in Jiangsu have launched exciting and diverse cultural activities to provide tourists with rich cultural enjoyment.

The Suzhou Museum sold out toys designed based on the sword of King Fu Chai of Wu, and refrigerator stickers based on the museum's collection of cultural relics. In the first four days of the holiday, the museum recorded a sales of 1.08 million cultural and creative products, setting a new historical high.

Xixi Ancient Town in Dongtai City has put up on the streets the immersive experience show stage of Huangmei Opera Marriage of the Fairy Princess, entertaining tourists with cultural stories and making them feel exhilarated.

Tents and curtains can be seen everywhere at the Taihu Lake Bay Camping Valley in Changzhou, one of the "Top Ten Camping Destinations in China". The interaction of cute pets with cute children and cartoon dolls helped the tourist site to record a revenue increase of over 200% compared with the same period last year.

More than 500 tourists picked grapes every day in the vineyard of Shilianghe Town, Donghai County, experiencing the joy of a bountiful harvest.
