The China Digital Economy Industry Development Conference was held in Suzhou last Saturday. The strategic cooperation framework agreement for channeling computing resources from the east to the west was signed, and industrial projects with a total investment of over 12.5 billion yuan were also signed.

The conference released the "Suzhou Declaration on the Development of channeling computing resources from the east to the west "and Urban Computing Power Network, Suzhou Big Data Industrial Block Planning, and innovative products in the field of digital economy. In 2022, the National Reform and Development Commission rolled out a plan to channel computing resources from the east to the west.

81 industrial projects have been signed, with a total investment of 12.51 billion yuan. The types of projects include data services, digital finance, platform economy, digital manufacturing, and some other fields. Project construction will promote the development of the digital economy industry.

"Suzhou has a strong foundation in manufacturing industry, and there is more room for development and great achievements in this area. I hope Suzhou can carve out a path in the digital transformation of the industry, especially in the manufacturing industry, and accumulate experience and set a model for the transformation of the national manufacturing industry," said Mei Hong, Chairman of the Chinese Computer Society, Academician of the CAS.

In addition to the conference and forum itself, the China Digital Economy Industry Development Conference also has an exhibition area outside the venue to showcase some highlights of industrial digitization and digital industrialization.

The conference also exhibited over 50 representative products in the field of digital economy, such as intelligent vehicle equipment, intelligent robots, digital media equipment, computers, and Internet platforms.

In recent years, Suzhou has targeted of the digital economy as the "new track" and "main track", adhering to the digital economy as a key increment for transformation and development, vigorously promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and accelerating the forging of leading advantages in the development of industrial innovation clusters with the added value of the core industries of the city's digital economy accounting for 15.8% of GDP.
