The Party Leadership Group of the Jiangsu Provincial Government held a meeting on Tuesday to earnestly study and implement the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping when participating in the deliberation of the Jiangsu delegation at the first session of the 14th National People's Congress. Xu Kunlin, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and governor of the provincial government, presided over the meeting.
The provincial government leaders said that the unanimous election of General Secretary Xi Jinping as the President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China is the direction of the Party, the desire of the people and the expectation of all, fully reflecting the institutional arrangement of the "trinity" leadership system of the Communist Party of China, the People's Republic of China and the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
General Secretary Xi Jinping's participation in the deliberations of the Jiangsu delegation and the delivery of the important speech is a great event in the history of Jiangsu's development and has provided scientific guidance and injected strong impetus for us to promote the new practice of Chinese path to modernization in Jiangsu and promote high-quality development in the forefront.
We must deeply appreciate General Secretary Xi Jinping's great care and ardent expectations for the development of Jiangsu, bear in mind the General Secretary's instructions, and strive to promote the high-quality development of Jiangsu to continue to be at the forefront of the country with more solid and effective government work.
Efforts should be made to enhance political stance, gain insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
We must strive to grasp the primary task of high-quality development, accelerate the realization of self-reliance in high-level science and technology, actively serve the country to build a new development pattern, solidly promote agricultural modernization, strengthen grassroots governance and livelihood security, and vigorously promote the new practice of Chinese path to modernization in Jiangsu.
