While participating in the review of the Jiangsu delegation, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that promoting agricultural modernization is an inevitable requirement for high-quality development. Among Jiangsu NPC deputies, there are deputies from rural areas of the 13 cities in the province. With proposals and hard work, all of them pledge to join hands and paint a new picture of a land of fish and rice in a new era.
There are heated discussions in the we-chat group of Lu Man, NPC deputy from Jiangsu. The we-chat group consists of over ten Jiangsu NPC deputies engaged in the field of agriculture, including experienced Party Secretary who has been working in rural areas for decades, post-90s Major Secretary, head of farmers' industrial cooperatives, and manager of the ecological agricultural base. Varying a lot in age and background, they share the same mission to learn and explore new ways and good plans for rural revitalization.
"Rural revitalization requires lots of talents. Many deputies from the frontline of rural revitalization share the same view that we need to retain knowledgeable talents who will strike roots in the countryside and lead rural people to common prosperity." Lu Man, NPC Deputy said.

Jiangsu NPC deputies from rural frontline feel the responsibility on their shoulders. They bring along with them advanced and down-to-earth proposals like digital agriculture construction, sound farmland cultivation and “new farmer” support program.
