East China’s Jiangsu province has released the implementation plan of green and low-carbon innovative development for new electric equipment, according to a document issued by eight provincial departments including the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
The plan proposes the goal and path of promoting the green and low-carbon innovative development of the new power equipment industry and accelerating the construction of world-class new power and new energy equipment industrial clusters in Jiangsu.
According to the Implementation Plan, by 2025, Jiangsu will significantly improve the modernization level of the province’s key industrial chain of new electric power and new energy equipment, significantly enhance the green and low-carbon supply capacity of equipment, basically form a good industrial chain ecosystem, and achieve the international leading level of comprehensive strength.
Jiangsu will promote the systematic development of new electric equipment, the tackling of basic industrial capabilities and key technical equipment, the development of advantageous industrial clusters, the industrial cooperation of electric equipment and regional cooperation.
In terms of promoting the systematic development of new power equipment, Jiangsu will consolidate and improve the traditional advantageous equipment such as thermal power generation equipment, power transmission and transformation equipment, power distribution equipment, innovate and develop new energy equipment such as wind power equipment, solar energy equipment, hydropower equipment, nuclear power equipment, and accelerate the layout of new energy storage equipment, hydrogen energy equipment and other strategic frontier equipment.
Jiangsu has set up a special team to strengthen the industrial chain in the smart grid, crystalline silicon photovoltaic, wind power equipment, ultra-high voltage equipment and other advantageous industrial chains to effectively promote the strengthening and complementing of the industrial chain.
At present, Jiangsu has recorded more than 5000 electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing enterprises with operating income of more than 2 trillion yuan. Nanjing new power equipment or smart grid cluster has been selected as the advanced manufacturing cluster under the national key layout and construction.
