On Feb. 8, Zhou Yuanjian donated hematopoietic stem cells to save the life of a blood disease patient at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. This is the first hematopoietic stem cell donation in Suzhou this year and Zhou became the 210th blood stem cell donor in Suzhou. Ji Jing, vice mayor of Suzhou, visited him at the donation site.
Zhou Yuanjian, who was born in 1996, works for the Wujiang District Media Convergence Center. In 2016 when he was a sophomore at Xiamen University, he registered to be a prospective hematopoietic stem cell donor at the Chinese Bone Marrow Bank.
