
Provincial enterprises in east China’s Jiangsu province reported a year-on-year revenue increase of 11% last year, according to a working meeting held recently. This year, the provincial enterprises will promote restructuring and integration, continue to optimize the layout of the state-owned economy, and contribute more state-owned assets and state-owned enterprises to the overall improvement of economic operation.
In 2022, the provincial-owned enterprises in Jiangsu reported a revenue of 440.21 billion yuan, up 11% year on year, and an investment of 136.04 billion yuan, accounting for 21% of the province's major project investment, which played a supporting role in stabilizing the macroeconomic market.

This year, the provincial enterprises will give full play to the role of investment stabilizer and strive to contribute more high-quality increment in a bid to promote strategic restructuring and professional integration in energy supply guarantee, food security, water security, supply chain security, and major infrastructure security so as to build a number of enterprises with high industrial concentration and strong core competitiveness, and enhance control and driving force in the industrial chain.
Jiangsu will also promote such major strategies as self-reliance in high-level science and technology, building a new development pattern of dual-circulation, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and "the Belt and Road", optimize the layout of the state-owned economy, accelerate the formation of new economic growth points, and further enhance the strategic support capacity of the provincial enterprises.
