Jiangsu builds high-energy innovation platform to promote innovation

East China’s Jiangsu province will promote the construction of stronger high-energy scientific and technological innovation platforms, create the birthplace of innovation achievements and give a stronger impetus to high-quality development in accordance with the deployment requirements of the provincial government work report.

At the beginning of the new year, Zijinshan Laboratory released three major innovative achievements that include "Cyberspace Endogenous Security Test Field NEST2.0", "the first domestic endogenous security 200G DPU chip", and "Intelligent Internet-connected Vehicle Endogenous Security Internet-connected System T-BOX".

"China's first endogenous safety 200GDPU chip" is a domestic DPU chip jointly developed and independently designed by Zijinshan Laboratory and Tianjin Core Haichuang Technology.

The chip was successfully developed in June 2022 and is currently being tested and applied by domestic server manufacturers such as Inspur, Xinhuasan and Dawning. The successful development of the chip ensures the independent control of high-end chips in China's data infrastructure.

"The biggest highlight of the chip is the design based on the concept of endogenous security, which can effectively improve the security of the system. The technical indicators are fully aligned with foreign products and can completely replace imported high-end network chips to ensure network security and supply chain security," said Li Yu, Deputy Director of Endogenetic Safety Research Center of Zijinshan Laboratory.

In Jiangsu, more and more basic research and original innovation achievements have come out from major laboratories and new research institutions, and more and stronger high-energy innovation platform carriers have also started "accelerated run" in Jiangsu.

Suzhou has accelerated the pace of building Suzhou Laboratory to ensure that it will become the largest comprehensive research base with the largest scale and the widest industrial influence in Jiangsu.

Lianyungang has completed the construction of the main body of the core test plant of high-efficiency and low-carbon gas turbine test device, a national major scientific and technological infrastructure project.

Nanjing has accelerated the construction of major facilities and platforms including Zhongshan Laboratory, "information high-speed railway comprehensive experimental field" and "space-space integrated information network".

The Zijinshan Laboratory, which was established five years ago, will continue to focus on the national strategic needs this year by refining and arranging major scientific research tasks and strengthening the transformation of scientific and technological achievements to ensure more innovative achievements can take root.

"One of our important goals this year is to systematically sort out key technological breakthroughs, carry out further in-depth cooperation with leading enterprises, strive to promote industrial application, and face the future, and lead the global technological development in the field of 6g technology. In addition, we should play a leading role in the transformation of network and security technology," said Qi Wangdong, Director of Scientific Research Department of Zijinshan Laboratory.

In the new year, Jiangsu will speed up the construction of a major landmark innovation platforms, implementing the strategic science and technology force cultivation projects, studying and formulating the "Jiangsu Key Laboratory System Layout Plan", planning the optimization and reorganization of provincial key laboratories, accelerating the construction of an innovation platform system led by laboratories, with technology innovation centers as the backbone and major scientific research facilities as the support.

Jiangsu will also deploy quantum computing, 6G mobile communication, brain-computer interface and other emerging technologies, and comprehensively promote 80 key core technology research and development projects and 80 major scientific and technological achievements transformation projects so as to seize the commanding heights in future competition.
